It has been more than 20 years since the foundation of Professor Zhou Deyuan and Zhou Mengxian (current chairman) in October 1990, and it is the largest commercial genome sequencing company in the country. Why we introduced iCATCHER to our workflow.

Through the introduction of Mr. Zhou Boyao, the company's business director, we started to contact iCATCHER. During the process, I appreciated the product development expertise and product introduction and interpretation of the founder, and the characteristics and applications of CatchGene’s core technology can help our laboratory easily handle large volumes specimen. The limitation of nucleic acid extraction from large volumes specimens were solved easily, and joined to automated extraction smoothly from manual extraction.

The design of iCATCHER is very intuitive and friendly, and does not require complicated steps at all, making it more convenient for operators to use. In addition to iCATCHER's patented extraction technology, robotic arm movement planning and cross-contamination control are also designed. Our laboratory used iCATCHER to extract cfDNA, blood DNA, and FFPE DNA, which has reached 3,000 specimens. The quality of these nucleic acid shows excellent stability, which makes people feel confident to hand over the samples to iCATCHER for processing. In addition, daily maintenance is also very simple

Each sample is unpacked and used with a single cartridge reagent, which avoids shortening the validity period or contamination of traditional reagents after the whole bottle is opened, and can effectively manage the nucleic acid extraction efficiency. It is really useful for extracting large volume samples (eg: 4 mL plasma or blood for cfDNA or gDNA).
